He said that for the time being because there is no availability there should be an interim government of technocrats to run the country.
Early elections are not a wise move in the current situation, Musharraf stated. His office said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif resigned from his post on Friday; hours after the Supreme Court disqualified him over corruption claims.
Not only Nawaz Sharif but also the family is alleged for the corruption cases. He and his whole family is declared corrupt by JIT. The Supreme Court JIT said Nawaz was not allowed after he is declared corrupt to hold office.
Court ordered a criminal investigation into him and his family. Nawaz Sharif who is now the former prime minister said in a statement that Sharif has “stepped down” but they have “serious reservations” about the judicial process and the JIT.
